Who is the best drummer of all time?

There’s not doubt about it, Rush’s Neil Peart blows the competition away. His technical skills allow him to concoct intricate fills and solos, and his rhythmic abilities allow him to create some complex beats. Any listener can experience his grace as he flows easily from drum to drum. Each beat that he creates is like its own little masterpiece. They’re usually elaborate and go off-beat at some points. Some of his greatest performances can be heard in the songs “YYZ,” “La Villa Strangiato” and “Xanadu.”

I have included the music video for “La Villa Strangiato,” which I got from Rush’s Vevo account, so you can hear Peart’s masterful work for yourself. Please comment and tell me what you think.

See what Rolling Stone had to say about Peart in their article “Rolling Stone Readers Pick Best Drummers of All Time.” http://ow.ly/qvDwU
